A New Full Flight Simulator in Our Paris Training Center
ATR to Expand its Training Capacities in Paris
A brand new Full Flight Simulator (FFS) will be added to our Paris Training Center and start operations from November 2017. Manufactured by TRU Simulation + Training, this new EASA-certified simulator will allow crew members to get training on the ATR 72-600. Opened in September 2011, the Paris Training Center is already equipped with an ATR 72-500 FFS.
Thanks to this brand new simulator, ATR will provide its customers and operators with easy access to extended capacities for training. Based near Charles de Gaulle airport, the Paris Training Center is ideally located next to one of Europe’s main hubs, connecting all destinations worldwide.
ATR currently offers more than 250 different training courses to 3,500 trainees per year. With seven simulators located in Toulouse, Paris, Johannesburg, Singapore and Miami, we are already able to offer optimised training solutions to our customers, thus supporting their regional expansion plans worldwide.
Along with the opening of the Miami Training Center in February, the extension of the Paris training facilities falls in line with ATR’s goal to continuously improve customer support and satisfaction. To remain the regional leader worldwide, it is essential that we anticipate the future needs of our customers in terms of pilots’ availability and expertise. In the next 20 years, 2,800 brand new efficient turboprops will be needed to absorb both the growth of regional airlines’ fleets and the replacement of their aging aircraft.
